When I was a child I use to play with magnifying glasses.  They would take an average day and make it into a wonderful day of experimenting with the power of the sun.  The sun was usually bright and the day was beautiful, bright, warm and enjoyable.

While I was able to enjoy the day in my shorts and tee-shirt, the magnifying glass had the power to focus the energy of the sun in amazing ways.  By adjusting the height of the glass away from a particual surface, the uns power would all of a sudden create an intense beam that was full of power.  Withing a few moments, the wood or what ever the beam was focused on would begin to burn.

What this taught me is the power of focus.  Taking a comfortable day of sunlight and focusing it brought great power.  With little things we find that focus will also provide an amazing result.

How many times in college do students wait until the final night before a huge important test to really study.  They focus all of their energies into learning what they could have leasurely learned previously.  Amazingly, they then take the class test and are able to draw upon this new amount of knowledge.

Focus is something that can be employeed with our everyday efforts.  The ablity to focus on various aspects of our goals can generate a large amount of energy to solve problems and move individuals and organizations into new paths.
